Join our thriving logistics team as a Shipping & Receiving Associate in St. Louis, Missouri. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods and the last to ensure outgoing shipments are accurate and timely. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders, staging outgoing orders, and preparing shipments for transit. A keen eye for detail, strong organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment are paramount. This position demands physical activity, including frequent Lifting and moving of materials. You'll be an integral part of our supply chain, working to ensure the seamless flow of products. Strict adherence to Safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE are mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log all incoming shipments.
- Verify delivery contents against shipping documents.
- Stage, load, and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling and documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of all inbound and outbound goods.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (certification may be required).
- Ensure the receiving and shipping areas are clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in handling materials, including significant Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Familiarity with shipping software and basic inventory control.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to wear appropriate PPE as required by Safety regulations.
- Understanding of general logistics principles.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
