We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics center in Los Angeles, California. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials and products throughout our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting inventory to and from storage areas, and assisting with order fulfillment. A strong focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency is essential. You will operate various types of forklifts, perform routine equipment checks, and ensure compliance with all company safety policies, including the correct use of PPE and adherence to proper Lifting techniques. Your role is critical to maintaining the flow of goods within our supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload freight from trailers and shipping docks.
- Transport materials and products to and from designated warehouse locations.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials as required.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Ensure accuracy in all movements and documentation.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support overall logistics operations and team goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift certification and a proven track record of safe operation.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with different types of forklifts and warehouse equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory flow.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
