Are you a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in San Francisco, California? We are hiring a dedicated individual to join our fast-paced logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your duties will include loading and unloading materials from trucks, transporting goods within the warehouse, and ensuring proper storage of inventory. Accuracy, efficiency, and a commitment to safety are paramount in this position. You will play a crucial role in our supply chain, ensuring that materials are moved correctly and on time to support our operational goals. We emphasize adherence to all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a warehouse environment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items within the warehouse.
- Stack and unstack pallets and materials.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Verify the accuracy of shipments and inventory counts.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE and proper Lifting techniques.
- Participate in cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support overall logistics operations and contribute to team goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
