Join our bustling warehouse in Boston, Massachusetts, as a Receiving Clerk! This vital role ensures the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods, serving as the first point of contact for deliveries. You will be responsible for inspecting shipments for damage or discrepancies, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and meticulously documenting all received items into our inventory system. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are paramount. The Receiving Clerk will work closely with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any issues that arise during the receiving process. This position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining accurate inventory records. Our warehouse operates in a fast-paced environment, requiring the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while upholding strict quality and Safety standards. You will be instrumental in managing the flow of materials into our facility, directly impacting our overall Logistics efficiency. Daily tasks include unpacking shipments, checking manifests, reporting shortages or damages, and preparing items for put-away. Proper wear of PPE is required. This role involves considerable standing and occasional Lifting .
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect all incoming shipments.
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders.
- Document received goods accurately in the inventory management system.
- Report any damages or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Coordinate with vendors and carriers for delivery schedules and issue resolution.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency in inventory management software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse procedures and Logistics .
