We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our logistics team in Baltimore, Maryland. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials throughout our warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, moving palletized goods, and stocking inventory in designated areas. Your proficiency in operating various types of forklifts is essential to our daily operations. A strong emphasis on Safety, adherence to procedures, and maintaining equipment are key aspects of this role. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, ensuring smooth and timely movement of goods.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect forklift equipment before and after each shift, reporting any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and locations.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse Safety regulations and protocols.
- Participate in general warehouse duties as needed.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses and hi-visibility vests.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Demonstrated knowledge of forklift operation and warehouse Safety standards.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
