We are hiring an Order Picker for our busy distribution center in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately and efficiently gathering items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our logistics chain, ensuring timely dispatch of products and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a pick list or scanning device.
- Locate and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Package picked items securely for shipment, ensuring all materials are used appropriately.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Contribute to overall warehouse efficiency and logistics flow.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to perform lifting of up to 45 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety standards and procedures.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory systems is a plus.
