We are looking for an organized and diligent Shipping Clerk to join our growing team in Fort Worth, Texas. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a vital role in the outbound logistics process, ensuring all outgoing shipments are processed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a smooth flow of goods from our facility to our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping manifests.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders.
- Package items securely for transit, ensuring proper materials are used.
- Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, ensuring safety regulations are met.
- Assist with receiving and inspecting inbound goods as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and the use of PPE.
- Support inventory management processes to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Comfortable with lifting objects up to 40 lbs.
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and carrier requirements is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and supply chain principles.
