Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for maintaining accurate inventory? We have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist in our New York City, New York facility. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, managing stock adjustments, and implementing procedures to minimize stock loss. You will work closely with warehouse management and operational teams to optimize inventory levels and support efficient logistics operations. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and a commitment to maintaining a highly organized and secure environment are essential. Your role directly impacts our ability to fulfill orders accurately and on time, making it a vital position within our company.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to prevent loss and damage.
  • Manage stock adjustments and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Coordinate with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a high level of organization and cleanliness within the inventory storage areas.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE .
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and adjustments.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to inventory management.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Physical ability to navigate the warehouse and occasionally perform light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
  • Understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
