Join our growing team as a Receiving Clerk at our busy distribution center in Tampa, Florida! We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual to manage incoming shipments and ensure accuracy in our inventory. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for goods entering our facility, playing a vital role in our overall logistics and supply chain operations. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders, inspecting goods for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our inventory management system. This position requires physical activity, including the ability to handle materials and perform significant Lifting throughout your shift. A keen eye for detail is essential to identify discrepancies and ensure the integrity of our stock. Safety is a top priority, and all team members are expected to follow strict Safety guidelines and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, with a basic understanding of warehouse operations. Previous experience in a receiving or warehouse environment is a plus. You will work closely with other members of the logistics team to ensure a seamless flow of goods and maintain efficient warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks.
- Verify contents of shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect received goods for damage or defects.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tag and prepare incoming goods for put-away.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
