*About us*
Car Spares Distribution are expanding after being at the heart of the Midlands automotive aftermarket, we are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our IT and Data Analytics team in our Newtown branch.
*About the Role*
We are looking for someone who will interpret data, analyse the results and provide ongoing reports to support internal decision-making processes. The position requires a strong understanding of data analysis techniques and the ability to communicate findings to key stakeholders.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Collect, clean and validate large datasets.
* Process and perform statistical analyses on large datasets and derive actionable insights.
* Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting tools and systems.
* Collaborate with other teams to understand their data needs and provide business analysis support.
* Design and implement Microsoft Access database structures using Microsoft SQL Server for efficient data storage and retrieval.
* Utilise programming languages like SQL, R and Python for advanced data manipulation and analysis tasks.
* Contribute to the development of data standards and best practices.
* Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and analytics techniques.
*Skills & Experience Required*
* Previous data analytics experience in a retail environment or have a numerical degree in data analytics, maths etc. is essential.
* Proficient in SQL for querying databases and extracting relevant information.
* Strong Microsoft Office Excel skills e.g. advanced formulas, pivot tables, data loading from SQL.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
* Experience in database design principles to create efficient data models.
* Excellent project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all analyses performed.
* Confident written and verbal communication skills.
* Proactive and methodical approach to work.
* A strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
