The Role:
We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Head of Sales Development to take full strategic ownership of our SDR new business channel across the group. This is a senior leadership team (SLT) position, reporting directly to the Sales Director, with a mandate to shape, build, and lead a best in class SDR function. You will have the autonomy and authority to make this channel your own, driving both the strategy and day to day execution needed to deliver ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities Take strategic ownership of the entire SDR new business channel, with the freedom to define and implement your vision for success Design, execute, and continuously refine the SDR strategy, including team structure, recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and sales enablement Build, lead, and inspire a high performing SDR team, initially split between London and the Midlands, with responsibility for team growth, performance, and culture Manage and allocate budgets, ensuring optimal resource deployment and sustainable, cost effective lead generation Collaborate with marketing to align on MQL and SQL definitions, ensuring marketing activity supports SDR objectives and delivers measurable results Select, implement, and optimise the sales technology stack to support modern lead generation and data driven decision making Present strategy, progress, and recommendations at board level, demonstrating credibility, professionalism, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders Operate as a key member of the SLT, contributing to broader commercial strategy and working closely with peers across sales, client services, and other functions Create a high energy, resilient, and collaborative team culture, promoting continuous learning, innovation, and accountability Monitor and adapt strategy based on performance data, demonstrating agility and self awareness to pivot or course correct as needed.
About You Eight to ten years experience in SDR roles, including significant experience as an SDR manager and ideally as a Head of SDR Proven track record of building, scaling, and leading SDR teams in the technology or SaaS sector, with clear evidence of delivering results Comfortable and credible presenting at board level, with the presence and communication skills to influence and challenge senior leaders Strong strategic, operational, and leadership skills; able to design and execute end to end SDR processes and drive continuous improvement Data driven, with a deep understanding of sales technology, lead generation best practices, and performance analytics Highly driven, resilient, and self starting, with the ability to thrive in a fast paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities Collaborative, energetic, and able to build a positive, high performance team culture Ambitious, innovative, and eager to take full ownership of the SDR channel, making a tangible impact on business growth.
