We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker for our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. You will be responsible for picking items from shelves, preparing them for shipment, and maintaining order accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Stage completed orders in designated shipping areas.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers (training may be provided).
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting as needed.
- Contribute to team efforts to meet fulfillment goals.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse/logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and commitment to using PPE.
- Team player with good communication skills.
