Job Summary:
Join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a Receiving Clerk! This role is essential for the accurate and timely processing of incoming goods, playing a critical part in our overall logistics chain. You will be responsible for inspecting shipments, verifying documentation, and entering received items into our inventory system. A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to process accuracy are vital for this position.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive all incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, noting any issues.
  • Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Tag and label incoming inventory for proper storage and tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments regarding inbound shipments.
  • Organize and maintain the receiving area to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Assist with unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
  • Participate in inventory cycle counts as needed.
  • Support the logistics team by ensuring a smooth flow of goods into the warehouse.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role or similar administrative/logistics position is preferred.
  • Proficiency in data entry and familiarity with WMS or inventory software.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in verifying information.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion and perform other physical tasks as required.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and consistent use of PPE.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
