We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our logistics operations in Los Angeles, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficiency and functionality of our warehouse equipment and ensuring the overall smooth operation of the facility. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring all equipment meets safety standards. A strong understanding of warehouse machinery and logistics processes is essential. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest Safety standards. You will work closely with various teams to ensure minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor belts, and automated systems.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on warehouse machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Collaborate with the operations team to address equipment-related issues promptly.
- Implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the proper use and storage of tools and materials.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with managing spare parts inventory.
- Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in warehouse maintenance and logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification or associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing various types of warehouse machinery.
- Understanding of Safety regulations and best practices in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting and physical exertion.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE and following safety procedures.
Physical Demands:
This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach frequently. It may involve working in confined spaces and requires moderate physical exertion, including the ability to perform Lifting of up to 50 lbs occasionally. Adherence to strict Safety protocols, including the use of PPE, is mandatory. The work environment is a typical warehouse setting, which may include varying temperatures and noise levels.
