We are seeking a versatile and reliable Warehouse Associate to join our operations in Washington, D.C. This role involves a variety of tasks crucial to the efficient functioning of our warehouse, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. As a Warehouse Associate, you will be an integral part of our logistics chain, ensuring that inventory is managed accurately and that orders are processed promptly and correctly. A strong work ethic and commitment to safety are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments.
- Stock and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for shipment.
- Prepare shipments for dispatch, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or general labor role is beneficial.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods throughout the shift.
