We are looking for a hardworking and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and retrieval of materials within the warehouse. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that materials are organized, accessible, and handled with care. You will play a key part in maintaining an efficient and safe working environment, supporting various departments including receiving, shipping, and production.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store incoming materials.
- Organize and arrange materials in designated storage areas.
- Pick and deliver materials to various workstations or departments as needed.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and dollies.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stocktaking.
- Ensure all materials are handled safely and efficiently, minimizing damage.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Comply with all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks for shipping and receiving.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and material handling techniques.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting, up to 40 lbs, as required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift.
