We are seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our warehouse and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You will be instrumental in loading and unloading trucks, moving materials from receiving to storage, and picking orders for shipment. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are paramount.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move pallets, boxes, and other materials.
- Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work assignments and potential hazards.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
