Join our dedicated team in Columbus, Ohio, as an Inventory Control Specialist. In this vital role, you will be responsible for upholding the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory through diligent tracking, auditing, and process management. You will implement and refine inventory control measures, conduct thorough cycle counts, investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, and ensure our inventory systems accurately reflect physical stock. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, and proven experience within a logistics or supply chain environment. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
- Perform regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and audits to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve all inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain precise inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor stock levels, identify potential stock-outs, and advise on replenishment needs.
- Analyze inventory data to optimize storage, turnover, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Ensure all inventory is properly labeled, stored, and accounted for.
- Champion safety in the warehouse, ensuring adherence to all regulations and the proper use of PPE.
- Generate comprehensive reports on inventory accuracy, value, and movement.
Qualifications:
- Significant experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory management role.
- In-depth knowledge of inventory control principles, WMS, and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, and working on your feet.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Experience within a fast-paced logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively.
