Our growing facility in Jacksonville, Florida, is looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician. This multifaceted role is integral to maintaining the smooth and safe operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of warehouse equipment, ensuring that machinery operates efficiently and meets safety standards. Additionally, you will assist with general warehouse duties, including inventory management, receiving, and shipping. This position requires a strong technical aptitude, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to safety in a logistics environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyor systems, racking).
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is in safe working order and meets regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Support general warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management and stock organization.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs.
- Contribute to a safe and efficient logistics environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics systems.
- Experience with a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform lifting and other physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices for equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
