We are hiring a dedicated Material Handler for our facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is critical for the smooth functioning of our logistics and distribution operations. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse, including loading, unloading, and staging products. A strong commitment to safety and accuracy is required. You’ll be working closely with inventory and other warehouse personnel to ensure materials are handled correctly and timely, supporting our entire supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials in designated locations.
- Transport materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring product integrity.
- Stage materials for picking, packing, or production processes.
- Conduct routine checks on warehouse equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and record-keeping.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any damages or discrepancies in materials or shipments.
- Support the efficient flow of goods within the logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse environment is required.
- Proven ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a strong asset.
- Capability to perform manual lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Good physical condition, with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics concepts.
