Join our dynamic Distribution Center Associate team in the heart of New York City, New York! We are looking for energetic and dependable individuals to support our fast-paced logistics operations. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be involved in all aspects of warehouse management, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods. Your role is crucial in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers, maintaining the efficiency of our supply chain. This position requires physical capability and a dedication to maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and log incoming inventory.
- Sort and organize merchandise efficiently within the distribution center.
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Pack orders securely and appropriately for safe transit.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Keep the warehouse environment clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate various warehouse equipment and machinery with care.
- Follow all company safety standards and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of our logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting, pushing, and pulling of items up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety protocols.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
