We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient and safe flow of goods within our warehouse facility. This position plays a critical role in our overall supply chain operations, contributing to timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy. You will work closely with other warehouse associates, supervisors, and management to achieve daily operational goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. We emphasize a culture of safety and provide all necessary training and equipment to ensure your well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Identify and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Accurately pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring correct items and quantities.
- Load and unload trucks, maintaining awareness of dock safety procedures.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring proper placement and clear access.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including sweeping, cleaning, and organizing.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and forklift usage.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator, with valid certification preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong commitment to Safety and operational excellence.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to wear appropriate PPE, such as safety shoes and vests.
