We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our team in San Antonio, Texas. In this essential role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around our facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from storage areas, and assisting with inventory management. Safety is our top priority, and a strong understanding of forklift operation protocols, adherence to Safety guidelines, and the proper use of PPE are critical. This position demands precision, efficiency, and a keen awareness of your surroundings. You will be a key contributor to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth flow of products within our distribution center. We offer competitive compensation and opportunities for advancement. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to perform some manual tasks, including occasional Lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered equipment safely and efficiently to move materials.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with inventory control, including stocking and retrieving items.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Commitment to workplace Safety and wearing required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
