We are hiring an Order Picker to join our dedicated team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Precision, efficiency, and a strong commitment to Safety are paramount. This position involves navigating the warehouse, locating specific items using order sheets or scanning devices, and preparing them for the next stage of the fulfillment process. You will contribute directly to the success of our logistics operations by ensuring orders are picked correctly and promptly. We offer a competitive wage and a supportive team atmosphere. The ideal candidate is physically fit, has a good memory for item locations, and is motivated to meet productivity goals while maintaining high standards of Safety. Consistent use of provided PPE is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret pick orders accurately.
- Locate and retrieve items from warehouse storage locations.
- Verify picked items against order details for accuracy.
- Stage picked items for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any discrepancies or damaged items immediately.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of inventory management.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices and willingness to use PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
