Our Omaha, Nebraska team is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist. This role is vital for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing process improvements. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized logistics environment are essential. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) to minimize obsolescence and spoilage.
- Work with operations and logistics teams to ensure efficient material flow.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management.
- Ensure the proper handling and storage of all inventory items.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- This role may involve occasional lifting and moving of inventory items.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret data and generate reports.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Capability to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally.
