Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, ensuring that all stock levels are accurately reflected in our warehouse management system (WMS). This role is crucial to our operations, directly impacting order fulfillment, production planning, and overall supply chain efficiency. You will be working closely with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping departments to resolve discrepancies and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of inventory management principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify slow-moving or obsolete items, and recommend adjustments.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and storage of all materials.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Participate in the training of new inventory personnel.
  • Assist in developing and implementing inventory control strategies.
  • Manage and maintain inventory records, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Commitment to safety and following all safety protocols.
