We have an exciting opportunity for a Picker/Packer in Grand Rapids, Michigan! Become a key player in our logistics operation by ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer orders. As a Picker/Packer, your primary duties will involve selecting items from warehouse shelves according to pick lists and preparing them for shipment. This role demands precision, speed, and a strong commitment to Safety. You'll utilize scanning devices to track inventory and verify order accuracy. A good understanding of warehouse layouts and a willingness to learn are essential. We value individuals who are detail-oriented and contribute to a positive team atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on customer orders.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure correctness.
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation.
- Follow all Safety protocols and wear required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned, contributing to overall logistics efficiency.
- Perform other duties as instructed by supervision.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret order tickets and product codes.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and other warehouse technology.
- Must be able to handle moderate Lifting, up to 45 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
