Houston, Texas is seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our **Logistics** team. This role is critical for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for conducting cycle counts, investigating inventory discrepancies, managing stock levels, and implementing procedures to minimize loss and improve accuracy. A strong focus on **Safety** and adherence to protocols is essential. This position requires analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform some physical tasks, including occasional **Lifting**. You will work closely with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and storage of all goods. We provide the necessary **PPE** to ensure a safe working environment. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Track and manage the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Identify and report potential issues affecting inventory accuracy or **Safety**.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed, following **Safety** guidelines.
- Ensure proper use of **PPE** during all inventory-related activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform **Lifting** of up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of **Safety** protocols and **PPE** requirements in a warehouse setting.
