Are you looking for a challenging role in a fast-paced warehouse environment? Our Des Moines, Iowa facility is hiring Warehouse Workers to support our extensive logistics network. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders from shelves, packing and preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You will be working with a team of dedicated individuals focused on efficient and accurate order fulfillment. Understanding and utilizing proper lifting techniques and ensuring the correct use of PPE are critical aspects of this role. We provide comprehensive training to ensure you are well-equipped to succeed in our dynamic logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming warehouse stock.
- Accurately pick products to fulfill customer orders.
- Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring quality.
- Prepare orders for delivery, including labeling and staging.
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and storage areas.
- Operate manual and powered warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and logistics operations.
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute.
