We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our dynamic logistics team in Sacramento, California. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, from receiving and storage to stock rotation and cycle counting. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of warehouse operations, and the ability to work independently. Your primary goal will be to minimize discrepancies and ensure that our inventory data is precise and up-to-date, supporting efficient warehouse operations. This involves using sophisticated inventory management systems and participating in regular audits. You'll also collaborate with other departments to resolve any inventory-related issues promptly.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of all goods.
- Collaborate with receiving and shipping departments to ensure accuracy.
- Generate reports on inventory status and discrepancies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with training new team members on inventory procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in inventory control or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in WMS and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with lifting techniques and material handling equipment.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
