We are looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Tampa, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, implementing effective control procedures, and supporting our logistics operations. Your keen attention to detail is essential for ensuring we have the right products in the right place at the right time.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Manage inventory data within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Track the movement of goods, including receipts, put-aways, picks, and shipments.
- Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Assist in the implementation of new inventory management technologies or processes.
- Support warehouse staff with inventory-related inquiries and issues.
- Ensure that all warehouse operations comply with safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Good understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory principles.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
