We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our state-of-the-art warehouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your expertise is vital to our logistics operations, ensuring the timely and accurate handling of goods within our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stack inventory.
- Inspect forklifts daily for safety and maintenance issues, reporting any defects immediately.
- Retrieve products from various warehouse locations for order fulfillment.
- Stage products for shipment, ensuring accurate order assembly.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all warehouse safety protocols.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support overall warehouse logistics and workflow.
- Ensure efficient and timely movement of goods throughout the facility.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to material handling and safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification/license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control systems is beneficial.
