We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment within our fast-paced distribution center. This role is critical to ensuring our customers receive their products quickly and correctly. You will work closely with inventory management systems and warehouse associates to maintain efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a physically demanding environment. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or RF scanner data.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Package selected items securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially those related to safety and PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity goals and quality standards.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and order picking techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
