Responsibilities:
- Transport materials to and from different areas of the warehouse using forklifts and other equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and shipping containers.
- Organize and store materials in designated inventory locations.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist in conducting physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Ensure proper labeling and tracking of all materials.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Work closely with other warehouse staff to optimize workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler, Forklift Operator, or similar role.
- Valid forklift certification is essential.
- Physical capability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Must be compliant with all company safety policies and the use of PPE.
- Understanding of logistics, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
