We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments. Your primary duties will involve receiving goods, verifying contents against purchase orders, stocking inventory, and preparing outgoing orders for shipment. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment, adhering strictly to all safety protocols. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to accuracy to minimize errors and maximize productivity. This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, and requires the consistent use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments.
- Verify the quantity and quality of received goods against invoices and purchase orders.
- Properly store and organize inventory within the warehouse.
- Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shipping and receiving areas.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipment status and any discrepancies.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to safety and the proper use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics setting.
- Reliable and punctual.
