We are looking for a dependable and physically capable Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, and organizing stock to ensure easy access and efficient workflow. Your contributions are vital to the smooth operation of our logistics chain. The ideal candidate is a team player, possesses excellent organizational skills, and prioritizes workplace safety . This is a hands-on position that requires energy, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated locations, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Inspect equipment before and after use, reporting any issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE .
- Assist with inventory counts and stocktaking as needed.
- Receive and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Perform other material handling duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
