Job Description To assist in providing general building maintenance service and repair works on behalf of Cambridge Maintenance to its client base.
Key Responsibilities
Upkeep and tidying of plant rooms and equipment serving modern, high standard office buildings
Cleaning and painting of equipment, plant and plant room floors
Chemical cleaning of equipment using high-pressure jet washer
Delivery of spares to site
Basic Building Maintenance tasks including meter readings and tap temperature checks
Assisting Building Services Technicians
To regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and other personnel in order to maintain and develop excellent professional working relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business
The job holder will be expected to organise their work and time efficiently, and to be work supportively within a team
Understand the workings of a PPM planner and respond appropriately to the client’s requirements.
Responsibilities
Punctual site attendance, wearing relevant PPE and clothing issued
Submitting clear, concise and accurate reports of works carried out, with clear recommendations for any further work required
Submitting weekly accurate timesheets
Communicating with Contracts Managers on Job progression
Location Birmingham
Hours of Work Monday-Friday - 42.5 hours per week with overtime starting at 47.5 hours per week
Essential Skills & Qualifications
Driving Licence
Good Communication skills both written and verbal
Proven experience, making good plasterboard issues, small plumbing tasks, weekly bell testing, weekly unused outlets
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of H.V.A.C. Industry
Knowledge of air conditioning systems
Basic PC Skills – Word, Excel, Outlook
Trained in Heath and Safety
The understanding of L8 water compliance, safe isolations
