Office Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Office Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our office facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in janitorial and custodial services, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks across various office areas, ensuring that all spaces are hygienic and well-maintained. The Office Cleaner will play a vital role in supporting the overall facility operations and ensuring a professional appearance for visitors and staff alike.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of office floors and surfaces
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly
• Maintain cleanliness of windows, glass surfaces, and doorways
• Handle trash removal and recycling procedures efficiently
• Use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment safely and effectively
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, polishing, or stripping as needed
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs or minor repairs when necessary
• Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to ensure a safe working environment
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning roles preferred
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and stripping
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning, facilities maintenance, or residential painting is a plus
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Reliable work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Prior porter or custodial experience is advantageous but not mandatory
• Must be able to pass background checks if required by the employer
