Job Overview
The Electrical Field Operations Manager -Industrial leads and oversees industrial electrical field operations across multiple U.S. facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality execution in live, brownfield, and greenfield environments. This role provides direct leadership to field supervision and crews, supporting industrial projects, outages, shutdowns, and turnarounds while meeting schedule, safety, and quality objectives.
The position partners closely with Project Management, Engineering, and client stakeholders to resolve field challenges, maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and NEC standards, and ensure installations meet project specifications and long-term reliability expectations. Through strong safety leadership, disciplined QA/QC practices, and performance tracking, this role drives consistent execution, productivity, and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee industrial electrical field operations across multiple U.S. facilities, ensuring consistent execution in live, brownfield, and greenfield environments.
- Provide direct leadership to field supervisors, general foremen, and crew leads, ensuring manpower plans, work sequencing, and production targets are met.
- Support mobilization and execution of industrial projects, outages, shutdowns, and turnarounds, balancing schedule constraints with safety and quality expectations.
- Coordinate site logistics including access controls, permits, equipment, tools, and material readiness in regulated industrial environments.
- Champion a strong safety culture aligned with industrial best practices and compliance requirements, including OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space, hot work, and arc-flash standards.
- Conduct regular jobsite audits, safety walks, and field inspections; ensure corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
- Partner with client safety teams to ensure compliance with site-specific rules, work permits, and industrial safety programs.
- Ensure industrial electrical installations meet project specifications, client standards, and applicable codes, supporting long-term system reliability and maintainability.
- Drive QA/QC discipline across crews, reducing rework and supporting successful inspections, commissioning, and handover.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Project Management to resolve constructability challenges, RFIs, and scope changes in the field.
- Act as a senior field operations partner to Project Managers, supporting schedule recovery, labor optimization, and risk mitigation.
- Support client engagement, inspections, and coordination with AHJs and facility stakeholders as required.
- Track and report key industrial field performance metrics, including productivity, safety performance, schedule adherence, and quality outcomes.
- Partner with client safety teams to ensure compliance with site-specific rules, work permits, and industrial safety programs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial electrical construction or industrial electrical operations, with progressive field leadership responsibility.
- Active U.S. Master Electrician license with multi-state licensure or reciprocity eligibility.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-crew industrial field operations through supervisors and foremen.
- Strong working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, automation, and controls environments.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. safety and electrical regulations, including OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and industrial permitting practices.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in production-critical facilities and high-risk environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the United States.
