Job Description:
L3 Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join our Norfolk, Va team.
Essential Functions:
Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure adherence to procedures, materials, and technical instructions in a manufacturing environment. Perform regular inspections of work areas and other quality assessments. Attend production meetings for updates on job progress and work with shop leads to address issues. Review and finalize records at the conclusion of each work package for storage. Maintain equipment and ensure calibration for testing. Collaborate with other Quality Assurance Specialist as needed. Support quality control initiatives Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. 5+ years of quality or technical experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficient in blueprint reading and QA systems. Proficient in reading electrical schematics and a thorough understanding of electrical/electronic test results. Knowledge of measuring tools (calipers, micrometers). Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Must be a US Citizen. Preferred Additional Skills:
NBPI and NACE certifications preferred but not required J-STD-001 preferred but not required WHMA/IPC-A-620 preferred but not required
