Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager oversees and performs all accounting, financial reporting, and audit functions for the Company. This role ensures accuracy in financial data, compliance with GAAP, and the integrity of all accounting processes. The Accounting Manager will lead accounting staff, prepare financial reports, and provide management with timely financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Essential job functions
Effectively train, inspire, and manage all accounting employees, including conducting regular performance reviews and fostering professional development.
Perform general cost accounting, maintain accounting records, and other related duties in the daily administration of finance department.
Prepare monthly financial statements, such as monthly balance sheet, income statement, report on changes in financial position and budget variances.
Work with sub-companies and sister companies to provide timely product transfers and physical inventory reports.
Maintain transaction integrity within QuickBooks and reporting process in all areas.
Reports to management regarding the finances of the companies. Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
Report to management about asset utilization and audit results and recommend changes in operations and financial activities.
Review data about material assets, net worth, liabilities, capital stock, surplus, income, and expenditures and assist in budget development.
Maintains records of all financial documents with appropriate supporting material, update records as necessary.
Audits accounting data, identifies, and corrects errors, identifies and computes accruals, applies accounting principles to transactions and recommends revisions in accounting procedures to ensure conformance with applicable statues, laws, and GAAP.
Assist external auditors at year end with preparing schedules and invoices, providing explanations of supporting materials and procedures, and preparing any other necessary data.
Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Review and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts; identify and correct discrepancies. Compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records complete.
Minimum Qualifications:
1.Education & Experience:
A. Bachelor's degree (preferred in accounting)
OR
B. High school degree or equivalent
AND
With five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in a field directly related to the above duties.
C. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Qualifications:
Managerial experience preferred.
Proficiency with QuickBooks Accounting Software required
Advanced Excel skills required
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret and apply accounting standards, regulations, and procedures.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present reports to management.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive financial data.

Fishbowl Inventory Management software
Microsoft office suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, Teams, Outlook)
Work Environment:
Sit or stand as necessary.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65, $70,000.00 per year
