Enhanced Shop Laborer

Job Summary:
The Enhanced Shop Laborer is a full-time position at our enhanced product facility in Springfield, NH. The hours and days of operation are Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, however the hours of operation may change based on production needs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for keeping up with the flow of production
• Inspecting the products quality while stacking boards into packs for shipping.
• Operating equipment including a forklift as needed.
• Conduct activities in a safe manner, follow corporate safety guidelines and requirements, use personal protective equipment, and proactively address any unsafe conditions observed
• Other assignments as made by management

• Operate equipment safely and responsibly
• Organized with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic, good judgment, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Promote a safe working environment and follow all workplace and job safety procedures

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) (Preferred)
• Equipment Operating Experience
• Sawmill experience (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move to reach, clean, and service machinery
• Must be able to inspect machines visually
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Work Environment:

• Indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions
• Walking on slippery or uneven surfaces from time to time
• Hearing protection is required in certain areas of the facility
