Mechanical Engineering Leader
to play a foundational role in launching and shaping its new
Salt Lake City office

What You'll Be Doing
- Lead mechanical system design for healthcare, labs, higher education, K-12, and institutional buildings
- Define system approach, select equipment, layout mechanical rooms, and ensure constructible, code-compliant designs
- Use Revit and AutoCAD to produce high-quality construction documents
- Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and civil teams to deliver fully integrated MEP solutions
- Interface directly with clients, facilities teams, and end users to gather requirements and deliver exceptional service
- Conduct site observations, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration
- Mentor junior engineers and help shape team standards as the local office scales
- Contribute to shaping local operations, workflows, and culture in collaboration with remote leadership
What We're Looking For
- Proven mechanical system design experience (HVAC and/or plumbing)
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or within 6 months of Licensure
- Strong understanding of national codes, standards, and best practices for mechanical systems in complex buildings
- Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
- Clear communicator with high attention to detail and a proactive mindset
- Familiarity with healthcare, labs, civic, or education projects a plus
- Desire to grow into a leadership role within a growing office environment

Competitive salary:
$160,000 – $180,000
based on experience
