Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Associate, where your energy and precision will drive our distribution operations forward In this vital role, you'll be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our facility. Your proactive approach will support order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, and overall warehouse distribution processes. Responsibilities
- Handle inventory management tasks including stock counting, inventory control, and updating warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Operate heavy equipment safely and effectively, including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials.
- Perform order picking and packing activities with accuracy to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Manage shipping and receiving duties by verifying inbound/outbound shipments and preparing items for dispatch while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Conduct materials handling tasks such as heavy lifting, stocking shelves, and organizing warehouse distribution areas to optimize space utilization.
- Support manufacturing or construction-related activities when required by assisting with packaging or moving raw materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following safety protocols and mechanical knowledge to prevent accidents or damage.
Requirements
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in inventory management systems and warehouse distribution operations.
- Valid certification for operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, or order pickers; OSHA safety training preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse machinery and tools including pallet jacks, forklifts and metal cutting equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining safety standards; experience with stock stocking, order picking & packing is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and order fulfillment processes.
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or management systems like AS400 enhances candidacy.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members in shipping & receiving or manufacturing environments. Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
