Barista

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting Mr. Brew environment. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and have a love for coffee and food preparation.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment, utensils, and seating areas.
• Assist customers with menu selections, providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, pastries, and other supplies; assist in ordering as needed.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food and beverage items served.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Skills

• Proficient in coffee preparation techniques with a strong understanding of various brewing methods.
• Experience in food preparation is preferred; knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems; experience with TOAST is a plus.
• Strong retail math skills to accurately process transactions and manage cash register operations.
• Basic math skills to handle measurements and calculations related to drink preparation.
• Excellent cash handling abilities to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering outstanding customer service in a café environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to $14.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
