Lean Process Engineer / Production Engineer

Job Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Lean Process Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing equipment, enhancing flow, reducing waste, and improving quality. Use your engineering skills to optimize major equipment, build or spec new machines, fabricate jigs and fixtures, analyze and present data, and solve cross-department issues. Functions and Responsibilities:

· Evaluate existing product lines for quality, manufacturing efficiency, supply continuity, and cost improvement, applying Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance processes and workflow.

· Implement cost-effective equipment modifications to improve safety, reliability, and throughput, and develop standard work processes to ensure consistent production of quality products.

· Utilize Root Cause Analysis to implement corrective actions, coordinate and drive continuous improvement activities, and act as a change agent for Lean Projects/Kaizen Events.

· Train, coach, and support production employees in continuous improvement, kaizen, and 5S projects.

· Be an agile problem solver, thinking outside-the-box to find and fix multi-disciplinary issues across our rapidly growing business.

Education / Skills:

· Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field with 2-5 years of manufacturing experience.

· Proven experience in project management and creative problem-solving aptitude.

· Ability to lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives, and proficiency in creating Quality Control Plans, SOPs, ECNs, and other production documentation.

· Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, ability to work independently and proactively with both management and production teams, and a data-driven approach to making improvements.

· Experience with CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 preferred) and fabrication skills such as working with hand tools, wood working equipment, welding, CNC machines, and knowledge of PLC, coding, and electrical work beneficial.

Pay: $75, $95,000.00 per year
