IT Support Engineer

Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, IIS/Apache/WordPress, and MSSQL/MariaDB systems. Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop applications and operating systems. Administer firewalls/VPN, switches, access points, and handle system security compliance. Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues. Perform regular backups, create IT documentation, and write basic BAT/VBS scripts. Suggest improvements and ensure timely completion of IT tasks and projects.

• This position will be responsible for configuring, implementing, and maintaining various technologies managed by the IT department. You will mainly administer Windows/Linux servers, web applications (IIS, Apache, WordPress, etc.), server applications, and MSSQL/MariaDB (MySQL) databases. Experience with server high availability is preferred.
• Install, configure, and manage desktop applications (OpenOffice, Thunderbird, etc.).
• Administer network devices (Firewall/VPN, switches, AP, etc.).
• Handle system vulnerabilities and maintain compliance with security policies.
• Create support documentation and document IT procedures.
• Work closely with employees to resolve network, software, or hardware issues and provide training.
• Perform and ensure backups for desktops, servers, and file shares.
• Respond to requests for information from other departments.
• Write batch files and VBS files for operational purposes.
• Maintain a positive attitude and be willing to suggest new ways to improve IT operations.
• Demonstrate determination to complete tasks, projects, and responsibilities successfully.
• Perform additional duties as required.
