Medical Assistant

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in diverse clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and urgent care centers. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting physicians and healthcare professionals by providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment.

Duties

• Assist with patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms
• Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in outpatient, inpatient, or emergency settings
• Support physicians with procedures such as medication administration, injections, and basic wound care
• Operate EHR systems accurately to document patient information and clinical notes
• Perform basic diagnostic tasks such as X-ray imaging or assisting with laboratory tests when required
• Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication use, and health maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas while adhering to safety protocols

Skills

• Medical Assistant Certification Required
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology across various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and Geriatrics
• Proficiency with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions
• Ability to perform intake assessments efficiently and accurately
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required
• Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically
• Ability to work efficiently in outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on patient care excellence
• Experience working in urgent care or clinic environments preferred but not required

Pay: $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
