Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner

NextCare Urgent Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team in Lee's Summit, Missouri. This role provides the opportunity to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

• Location: 2741 NE McBaine Dr, Lee's Summit, MO 64064

• Clinic Hours:

  • Sunday–Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

• Patient Population: Infant through geriatric

• Setting: Walk-in urgent care

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in accordance with clinical best practices for urgent care and occupational health

• Provide compassionate, respectful, and patient-centered care aligned with NextCare's mission and values

• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions clearly to patients

• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)

• Take personal responsibility for appropriate coding and billing of services

• Maintain clinical productivity consistent with urgent care standards

• Deliver care in a legal, ethical, and professional manner

• Follow up on patient care as clinically indicated

By providing exemplary urgent care services, you will help build trusted relationships within the Lee's Summit community and contribute to NextCare's continued growth and commitment to accessible, high-quality healthcare.

• Active and unrestricted Missouri NP or PA license

• Active DEA

• PA: NCCPA certification

• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (Family Nurse Practitioner required)

• Ability to treat all age groups, from infant to geriatric

• Bachelor's degree in Physician Assistant studies or Master's degree in Nursing

• Active BLS certification

• EHR proficiency

• Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays

• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (training provided at no cost)

• Previous experience in urgent care, emergency department fast-track, or walk-in clinic

• Experience with suturing and wound care

• Initial x-ray interpretation experience prior to radiology over-read

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies (for PAs)
