Observant Mind Integrative Counseling is seeking a passionate, grounded, and competent trauma-informed couples therapist to join our growing holistic group practice. We're currently looking for someone excited to work with couples and individual adults with complex trauma, and who is committed to healing trauma through an integrative lens.

Clinical services will include couples and individual therapy (with optional opportunities to lead groups). We take a strengths-based, mind-body-soul approach to therapy and welcome clinicians practicing any competent trauma-informed modality - from EMDR to IFS to somatic work and beyond.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person and virtual psychotherapy to clients referred by Observant Mind
  • Use trauma-informed care consistently and skillfully
  • Maintain timely and ethical documentation (intake, progress notes, treatment planning, etc.) within 1 week using our EHR (training + templates provided)
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and consultations
  • Respond to client needs and communication in a timely, compassionate manner
  • Available to work 3+ days per week with at least 15+ client-facing hours
  • Be available for at least one evening and/or weekend 5–6 hour block per week

What We're Looking For

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Provisionally licensed or fully licensed in the state of Texas
  • Provisionally licensed clinicians are responsible for securing their own supervision
  • A strong foundation in trauma-informed care (modality flexible, competence required)
  • Alignment with holistic, integrative care and a belief in healing beyond symptom reduction
  • Experience or passion for working with complex trauma, within the couple dynamic
  • Organized, communicative, and able to self-direct
  • Anti-racist, culturally competent, and values collaborative work
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate (based on experience & licensure)
  • Accrued PTO
  • Monthly consultation group
  • Flexible hybrid schedule
  • Autonomy in developing groups or specialties
  • Low-stress onboarding: we fill your caseload, you focus on clinical work
  • Future potential for expanded benefits as the practice grows

This Role Is Not for You If:

  • You just want to clock in and out
  • You're not interested in trauma work or holistic healing
  • You're planning to open your own practice soon
  • You resist feedback or dislike collaboration
  • You avoid responsibility and prefer to coast

This Role Is Perfect for You If:

  • You align with our mission and want to grow in a holistic, trauma-focused space
  • You're passionate about deep healing, not surface-level fixes
  • You believe in the sacredness of therapeutic work and take ethical responsibility seriously
  • You want a meaningful clinical role without the burnout culture

About Observant Mind

We're a growing, mission-driven space rooted in trauma-informed care, holistic healing, and soulful connection. Observant Mind was founded by a veteran and licensed professional counselor with a passion for blending the science, art, magic, and deep wisdom of healing.

Right now, we're small but intentional. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the foundation as we expand into a group practice. We're looking for someone who feels energized by the idea of co-creating something meaningful, rather than just clocking in and out.

Our work is deep, but we approach it with warmth, integrity, and a healthy dose of humor. We take energy management seriously around here, because burnout isn't a badge of honor, it's a red flag we work to prevent.

If you're a heart-centered therapist who's excited by the idea of being part of something that's just beginning to bloom, let's connect.

  • Trauma-informed care is non-negotiable
  • Holistic & integrative healing (mind, body, energy, and spirit)
